Senior Indian executives can learn leadership from INSEAD

Leadership is much talked about term in corporate circles and now the premier business school (B-school) from France, INSEAD is offering the INSEAD Leadership Program for Senior Indian Executives (ILPSIE). It is a one-year part-time program.

The program is squarely aimed to meet the challenge of lack of general management skills among workforce in fast-growing firms. Reports say that the program will boost India’s long-term growth prospects, as relevantly skilled general managers can provide the strong business leadership which is needed to make the most of growth opportunities.

As per reports, ILPSIE covers the fundamentals of business, specific functional domains and linkages across different functional domains, interpersonal skills necessary for effective business leadership, etc. ILPSIE is designed to prepare the executives for senior management positions, thereby furthering the career prospects. The program has significant learning elements, such as, one-week immersions at INSEAD’s global campuses as well as in India, comprehensive evaluation as well as coaching and personal development.

It can be recalled that earlier, INSEAD had also designed a program to help business leaders along with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who aspire to start business/expand business in India. The program has been devised to help deal with various businesses, political and social issues faced by global firms in the Indian market.
