If you are writing the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2015
(JEE Main 2015) come April, then you need to start preparing earnestly right
away. The online or computer-based test of JEE Main 2015 will be held on
Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11, 2015 for Paper I only. The first shift
will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift, if required, will
be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Here are some important instructions for candidates:

A mock test for JEE Main computer-based test has
been made available at the official website. The mock test is for practice
purpose only and is not a sample paper.

The aspirants could opt for the city of their
choice as per the list of computer-based examination cities at the time of
filling the application form. They could also choose the test date.

The candidates who opted for the computer-based
examination of Paper I could select the date/slot after payment of the
examination fee during registrations. The candidates who did not select the
date/slot are allotted the same on random basis, depending upon availability.

The computer-based examination will be conducted
using the Local Area Network (LAN), to make it safe, secure and un-interrupted.
It is not based on internet. The candidates have to report to the test center
30 minutes before the scheduled time.
The candidates should also know that in the computer-based
examination, the questions will appear on the computer screen along with the
answer options. The instruction page will also be displayed before the actual
test begins. The time of reading of instructions will not be part of
examination duration.
In the computer-based examination, there will be four
options for each question. The candidate has to click one of the options using
the computer mouse, which can be reviewed or re-answered any time during the
duration of the test. The candidate also has the option to mark any answer for
review at a later stage during the examination. The candidates can review or
re-answer any question at any point of time during the test.
The candidate can change the option of the answer during the
test duration. The candidates can easily identify which questions are left
unanswered. There will be a panel on the computer screen showing all the
question numbers in different color schemes, which will indicate which are the
questions answered, left unanswered or marked for review.
There will be enough buffer computers available at the
examination centers, in case there is a problem with the computer during the
test. The time lost for changing the system will be duly compensated as time is
recorded by the server. Moreover, there will be qualified Information
Technology (IT) professionals for assistance, if required.
The question paper along with the options marked will be
mailed to the candidates after the examination schedule is over. The result of
the computer-based examination will be declared along with the offline
examination Results.
